Ingredients

  • 6 leaves Romaine lettuce large, washed, dried
  • 8 slices Deli turkey low sodium preferred
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese sharp or mild
  • 1 tbsp Mustard optional
  • 1 small Avocado sliced, optional
  • 1/4 cup Cucumber thinly sliced, optional

Equipment

  • 1 Cutting board For prep
  • 1 Knife For slicing
  • 1 Paper towels To dry lettuce
  • 1 Storage container Optional, for meal prep

Method

  1. Wash the lettuce leaves and dry them well with paper towels.
  2. Lay each lettuce leaf flat on a clean surface.
  3. Place 2 to 3 slices of turkey in the center of each leaf.
  4. Add 1 slice of cheddar cheese on top of the turkey.
  5. Add mustard, avocado, or cucumber if using.
  6. Fold the sides of the lettuce inward, then roll tightly from the bottom up.
  7. Slice in half if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure the lettuce is completely dry before assembling to prevent soggy wraps.
  • Use low sodium turkey if you’re watching salt intake.
  • Sharp cheddar gives more flavor, so you can use less if preferred.
  • For sturdier wraps, use two lettuce leaves layered together.
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but ingredients can be prepped ahead and assembled when ready to eat.
